Your LinkedIn account isn't broken.
It's being
run like a Google Ads account.
We audited 56 B2B SaaS LinkedIn accounts and $9.4M of spend for the 2026 LinkedIn Ads Waste Report. Average waste: 32%, about $53.6K per account. Three causes made up two-thirds of it, and all three come from one thing: the default audience is too broad.
Non-ICP job functions
30% of all waste, $903K across the audited accounts, went to job functions that will never buy. Decision-makers got 33% of budget on average, against a 60%+ target.
Super Title and seniority creep
LinkedIn quietly expands a "VP Marketing" campaign to coordinators. Seniority mislabeling cost 22% of waste ($662K); companies under 50 employees another 15% ($452K). Most agencies never check.
Frequency and fatigue nobody caps
On one account, CTR fell 30% once average frequency passed 2.1. Ads refreshed every 14 to 18 days ran 22% higher CTR and 19% lower CPL than ads left for 4 to 6 weeks. LinkedIn keeps charging either way.
Figures from GrowthSpree's 2026 B2B SaaS LinkedIn Ads Waste Report (56 accounts, $9.4M in spend, featured on Business Insider) and the Hatica case study.
LinkedIn Ads results for B2B and B2B SaaS companies
A selection from the 300+ B2B and B2B SaaS companies we have worked with. The operating model is the same every time: ICP-locked audiences, exclusions on day one, fresh creative, and bidding trained on pipeline.
Gumlet: a $24K ARR deal from $3,800 of LinkedIn spend, in two months
Gumlet sells video and image optimization to product and engineering leaders. The audience was about 30,000 people at media and SaaS companies with 51 to 10,000 employees, with job seekers and early-career profiles excluded. Month one ran awareness ads to the whole audience with frequency held under 3. Month two ran Lead Gen Form ads with a "Request Demo" CTA only to the warmed segment. Twelve leads, six SQLs, one closed deal, 6.3x ROAS.
Performance-led messaging beat feature-heavy messaging. The top ad, "Deliver optimized videos and images at any scale", with 99.95% uptime and 2.5B+ files a day as proof, produced three of the eight demo requests on its own. From the Gumlet LinkedIn Ads case study

We published the waste data
56 accounts, $9.4M of spend, 32% average waste. Read the report Business Insider covered.
We built our own LinkedIn tools
OLA for Super Title exclusions, impression caps and HubSpot attribution. LinkedIn Ads MCP, free to start, for daily audits.
Junk leads never teach LinkedIn
QLA scores every lead against your ICP before it becomes a conversion event LinkedIn learns from.
Creatives you can look at today
LinkedIn creatives for Bambuser, Gumlet, Konnect, VTEX, Uptiq and more are public on Dribbble.
Landing pages and CRO in-house
A page per persona, built in Webflow, Unbounce or Replit, with a 14-day CRO loop.
CRM conversions back to LinkedIn, standard
LinkedIn CAPI and HubSpot or Salesforce offline events are set up on day one, not sold as a separate project.
LinkedIn creatives designed in-house, refreshed every 14 to 18 days
LinkedIn creative fatigues faster than any other channel because the audience is small and the CPM is high. Our studio designs, tests and retires creative every week, picks the format by funnel stage, and the work is public.

A LinkedIn click costs $8 to $25. The page it lands on decides whether that money becomes a sales conversation or a bounce. We build a page per persona in Webflow, Unbounce or Replit, then run a 14-day CRO loop on heatmaps and session recordings. On Hatica, page active time rose 78% and demo conversion 2.4x.

Lead Gen Forms, scored by QLA
6 to 10% form rate and about 25% lower CPL than a page. QLA scores each one so only ICP leads reach sales and train LinkedIn.
A landing page per persona
A CTO page is not a VP Engineering page. Hatica ran four persona campaigns, each with its own creative, page and bid.
Conversation Ads to a calendar
50 to 65% open rates and 10 to 20% conversion from engaged users. Cost per lead looks higher, cost per opportunity is usually lowest.
Weekly heatmap and session review, iteration every 14 days. Secondary paths for demo, trial and sales-assist, so visitors who are not ready for a demo do not bounce to a competitor.

How we run LinkedIn Ads in the first 90 days
The same 90-day sequence the Waste Report models to cut average waste from 32% to under 12%: audit, exclude, re-weight, then fund what works. For sales-led companies it trains LinkedIn on pipeline; for product-led SaaS, on activated and paying users.
- 1Days 1 to 7
Audit and tracking
Spend scored by function, seniority, company size, industry and campaign type against your ICP; Insight Tag and CAPI fixed
- 2Days 8 to 30
Cut the leaks
Non-ICP functions, entry-level seniority, sub-50 firms and Super Titles excluded; new creative and persona pages live
- 3Days 31 to 60
Re-weight and train
Bid multipliers by seniority, dead campaigns paused, QLA-scored SQLs and won deals sent back to LinkedIn
- 4Days 61 to 90
Fund what works
Retargeting pools funded, industry targeting fixed, Document and Conversation Ads expanded to warm accounts
What we tell LinkedIn each stage is worth
Starting weights relative to a form fill, calibrated to your ACV and sent through the Conversions API. LinkedIn learns to chase buyers, not cheap forms.
- 1Days 1 to 7
Audit and tracking
Same waste audit; Insight Tag and CAPI connected to your product backend, click IDs stored on every signup
- 2Days 8 to 30
Cut the leaks
Exclusions applied; signup pages and onboarding-aware creative live; trial non-converters retargeted
- 3Days 31 to 60
Train on activation
Activation, PQL and paid events sent back from your product with weighted values
- 4Days 61 to 90
Fund what pays
Budget follows paying users; Document and Thought Leader Ads expanded to lookalike functions
What we tell LinkedIn each user is worth
Starting weights relative to a signup, calibrated to your ARPA and activation rate. LinkedIn learns to find users who activate and pay.

How GrowthSpree compares with other agency types
All of them can launch a Sponsored Content campaign. They differ in who runs it, whether LinkedIn's audience leaks are controlled, whether CRM outcomes ever reach LinkedIn, and what the fee is tied to.
| What to compare | GrowthSpree | Enterprise full-service agency | LinkedIn Ads specialist | Paid + organic AI agency |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Covered by one engagement | LinkedIn, Google, Meta, ABM, and RevOps | Broad, but channels often run as separate workstreams | LinkedIn only; other channels referred out | Paid, SEO, and content bundled together |
| Fee and contract | Flat monthly fee independent of spend, month-to-month | Retainer plus 10 to 20% of spend, often 6 to 12 months | Often 10 to 15% of spend with minimums, 3 to 6 months | Bundle retainer, varies |
| Super Title exclusions, impression caps, scheduling | Standard, through OLA | Sometimes, manual | Sometimes, manual | Rarely |
| Creative and landing pages | Designed and built in-house, public on Dribbble | In-house, often a separate studio team with its own queue | Creative yes, landing pages usually your problem | Mixed, often templated |
| CRM outcomes sent back to LinkedIn | Yes, CAPI plus offline events, with QLA filtering leads first | Sometimes | Insight Tag and CAPI, rarely CRM stages | Sometimes |
| AI you can test before hiring | Yes, free LinkedIn Ads MCP and an OLA trial | Rarely | Rarely | Sometimes, usually sold as a separate product |
| Who runs the account | Senior operators on every account, no junior hand-off | Large teams; seniority varies by account size | Small teams, often one specialist per account | Mixed teams across paid and organic |

How to choose a LinkedIn Ads agency for B2B or B2B SaaS
The questions that separate a pipeline partner from a lead vendor, and who we are and are not built for.
Ask four things: who runs the account day to day, how they stop Super Title expansion and control frequency, whether SQL and closed-won stages go back to LinkedIn through the Conversions API, and whether the fee is tied to your spend or flat. Then ask for three artifacts: a waste audit of your own account, recent creative work, and a CRM-stage pipeline report. An agency that cannot show all three is selling impressions, not pipeline. GrowthSpree is a fit if you are
- A B2B or B2B SaaS company selling to defined job functions and seniority levels, with a sales cycle measured in weeks or months
- Spending, or ready to spend, enough on LinkedIn for the audience to learn (most teams start at $10K to $20K a month; tight audiences can start lower)
- Using HubSpot or Salesforce and want LinkedIn tied to real pipeline
- Running ABM and want LinkedIn engagement visible by account in your CRM
- Looking for creatives, landing pages and campaigns from one team on one flat fee
Choose someone else if you are
- A B2C brand, consumer app, ecommerce store, or DTC company
- Looking for a one-off campaign build rather than an ongoing partner
- After long-form content or video production (GrowthSpree does not offer this)
- Looking for a fractional CMO rather than an execution team
What does a LinkedIn Ads agency for B2B and B2B SaaS do?
A LinkedIn Ads agency for B2B and B2B SaaS plans, designs, runs and measures Sponsored Content, Document, Conversation and Thought Leader campaigns aimed at specific job functions, seniority levels and named accounts, for companies with long sales cycles and buying committees. The good ones lock the audience to the ICP, control frequency, build creative and landing pages in-house, and send SQLs and revenue back to LinkedIn so it optimizes for buyers, not for the cheapest click.
| What matters | Generalist paid social agency | B2B and B2B SaaS LinkedIn Ads agency |

| Goal metric | Clicks, CTR, cost per lead in Campaign Manager | SQLs, pipeline, closed-won revenue, 180-day ROAS from the CRM |
| Audience | Default job-title targeting with LinkedIn's expansion left on | ICP-locked: Super Title, seniority, function and company-size exclusions; Matched Audiences from the target account list |
| Frequency | Uncapped; the same creative runs until performance collapses | Impression caps per company, business-hours scheduling, creative refreshed every 14 to 18 days |
| Signal sent to LinkedIn | Form fills from the Insight Tag | QLA-scored leads and CRM stages via the Conversions API with tiered values |
| Sales cycle awareness | Weekly reports on 7-day attribution | Reporting that follows a 281-day average cycle into the CRM, with account-level engagement visible to sales |
