A letter from our co-founder

A letter from Ishan Manchanda, co-founder of GrowthSpree

On why 2026 has been the hardest year for B2B marketing leaders, what GrowthSpree changed, and what we promise every client.

Hi,

Nilesh, Kushagra, Maalav and I started GrowthSpree at the end of 2017. Nine years in, this is the hardest year I've seen for the people we work for.

Your buyer probably asked ChatGPT for a shortlist last week, and you'll never know if you were on it. The Google campaign that carried your pipeline two years ago now brings in job seekers and people who will never buy. LinkedIn keeps getting more expensive. And your CFO still wants pipeline by Q1, with less budget than last year.

We feel it too. We're a B2B company, so we have the same problem. This year we changed a lot of how we work. We started doing SEO and AEO properly, because that's where buyers went. We gave away the AI tools we built, for free. And I wrote up what we found when we audited 104 B2B SaaS Google Ads accounts, including the ugly parts. About a third of the spend was going to clicks that could never turn into revenue.

I said on a podcast in July that AI is making agencies faster, but not better. I still think that. AI can write fifty ads in a minute. It can't tell you which three your buyer will care about. That still takes someone senior who has done it many times.

So I won't promise you a magic channel. Nobody honestly has one right now. What I can promise is how we work. A senior person runs your account. We measure what you're measured on: pipeline and closed deals, in your CRM. You see the numbers every week, good weeks and bad. And if we stop being useful, you can leave next month. There's no lock-in.

My team will give this 200%. I know how that sounds coming from an agency. But we know what's riding on this for you, and making your life easier is the whole job.

If you want to talk, write to me at ishan.m@growthspree.in. Tell me what isn't working. I'd rather hear that than a polite hello.

What changed for B2B marketers

Ishan Manchanda calls 2026 the hardest year he has seen for B2B marketing leaders. Buyers build shortlists in AI assistants such as ChatGPT, paid search brings in more clicks that never become revenue, and budgets are tighter while pipeline targets stay the same.

What GrowthSpree's research found

GrowthSpree's 2026 Google Ads Waste Report audited 104 B2B SaaS Google Ads accounts and $78.0M in spend and found a 34.0% average waste rate. Its 2026 LinkedIn Ads Waste Report audited 56 accounts and $9.4M in spend and found a 32% average waste rate.

What GrowthSpree changed in 2026

In 2026 GrowthSpree started running SEO, AEO and GEO as full services, launched Salient, its answer engine optimization (AEO) product, in September 2026, and released its MCP servers for free.

How GrowthSpree works with clients

A senior operator runs each account. GrowthSpree measures results on qualified pipeline and closed-won revenue in the client's CRM, not on clicks or cost per lead, and reports them every week.

Pricing and contract

Paid media is a flat monthly retainer starting at $3,000 a month, never a percentage of ad spend. Contracts are month-to-month, with no minimum commitment, and clients can cancel anytime.
